Screwing the Pooch

Amazon Rank. Verb. What happens when you anger a minority already known for being vocal.

That said, I tend to agree with this guy I’ve never heard of when he advocates we give the folks at Amazon a chance to defend themselves. There’ve already been two different explanations for the problems in question, which seems more like a PR failure than some crazy cover up. Tomorrow’s a business day, let’s see what happens.

In any case – whether this is some decision at Amazon, or a legit ‘glitch,’ which it isn’t since I know how computers work – the damage is done. People are guilty until proven innocent, especially in the ‘age of Twitter,’ which is a rather depressing term. We’ll see how this shakes out.

I’m very curious about what they have to say too. It’s all very confusing. I’m just hoping they’ll cave and put things the way they were before.
